Skin Quality & Radiance
Treatments in London

Dull, dehydrated, tired-looking skin develops gradually — and a healthy, natural glow is built and maintained rather than bought once. What suits you depends on whether the priority is hydration, bounce, texture or radiance, and on the foundation of daily care underneath.

What it is
The overall health of the skin — hydration, bounce, smoothness, tone and natural radiance
What affects it

Key areas

Skin quality is the overall health of the skin — its hydration, bounce, smoothness, tone and natural radiance. Dullness and a tired-looking complexion happen when the skin becomes dehydrated, when cell turnover slows, and when collagen and elastin gradually decline, so light no longer reflects evenly off a smooth, plump surface. The right approach depends on whether the priority is hydration, texture, bounce or glow — and it works best on a foundation of daily SPF and good skincare, which is why a proper assessment comes first.

Understanding the concern

What is Skin Quality & Radiance?

Skin quality describes how healthy the skin is overall — how hydrated and plump it feels, how smooth and even its surface is, and how well it reflects light to give that fresh, lit-from-within radiance. When skin is in good condition it looks luminous; when it is dehydrated, rough or depleted, it looks dull, flat and tired no matter how rested you are.

Several things shift with time and lifestyle. The skin holds less water, so it loses its bounce and plumpness. Cell turnover slows, leaving a duller, rougher surface that scatters light unevenly. Collagen and elastin decline from the mid-twenties, so the skin gradually feels less firm and resilient. Sun exposure, pollution, stress, poor sleep and dehydration all accelerate the process and show on the face quickly.

Crucially, radiance is built and maintained rather than bought once. No single treatment delivers a permanent glow — results develop over a course and are sustained with maintenance, daily sun protection and medical-grade skincare underneath. The aim here is healthy, natural radiance and better skin from within, not a filtered, over-treated finish.

These treatments improve the quality and radiance of the skin — they do not lift significant laxity, fill deep lines or replace good daily care. If something else is driving your concern, Dr Nina will say so honestly and point you to the more appropriate route.

Why it happens — three drivers

Dehydration

When skin holds less water it loses plumpness and bounce, fine lines look more obvious and the surface turns flat and dull rather than dewy and luminous.

Slower cell turnover

As skin renews more slowly, dead cells linger on the surface, leaving rough, uneven texture that scatters light instead of reflecting it evenly for a healthy glow.

Collagen & elastin decline

Collagen and elastin fall gradually from the mid-twenties, so skin feels less firm, less resilient and less able to look fresh, smooth and supported.

Where it tends to show up

  • A dull, flat or lacklustre complexion that looks tired even when rested
  • Skin that feels dehydrated, tight or lacking in bounce
  • Rough or uneven texture and the look of enlarged pores
  • Fine lines that look more obvious when the skin is dry
  • Loss of that fresh, lit-from-within glow and even tone
  • Skin that looks dull or sallow after sun, travel, stress or poor sleep

Treatment guidance

Matching treatment to your concern

Several treatments improve skin quality and radiance, but they work in fundamentally different ways — some bio-remodel and hydrate the skin from within, some micro-infuse a glow into the surface, and one uses light to calm and rejuvenate. The right choice, or combination, depends on whether the priority is deep hydration, bounce, texture or radiance, and on the foundation of daily care underneath. These are the presentations we see most often, and what tends to suit each.

From within

Hydration & bounce from within

When skin looks dull because it is dehydrated and has lost its bounce, injectable bio-remodelling and hydration improve quality from the inside. Profhilo® spreads through the dermis to hydrate and stimulate collagen and elastin; Jalupro Super Hydro combines hyaluronic acid with amino acids for deep hydration and luminosity. Both build skin quality gradually over a short course rather than overnight.

Repair & renewal

Repair, renewal & resilience

Where skin is tired, crêpey or in need of renewal, regenerative injectables support the skin’s own repair. Polynucleotides work with your fibroblasts to improve hydration, elasticity and texture — particularly useful for delicate, fragile skin. These sit naturally alongside Profhilo® and Jalupro Super Hydro as part of a wider skin-quality plan.

Glow facials

Micro-infused glow & radiance

For an instant, refined radiance, micro-infused facials deliver ingredients into the surface. The Aquagold Facial uses a 24-carat gold microneedle device to infuse a bespoke cocktail for glow, pores and texture; Target Cool Exosomes deliver growth factors and peptides to refresh and calm. Both are popular for a pre-event glow and repeat well as maintenance.

Light-based

Light-based calming & radiance

Where redness, dullness or recovery is the focus, light works gently and with no downtime. Dermalux LED uses clinically researched red, blue and near-infrared wavelengths to calm, clear and rejuvenate the skin, and is excellent both as a stand-alone course and as an add-on to support and soothe after a glow facial. It is one of the gentlest ways to support overall radiance.

Daily foundation

The everyday foundation

No in-clinic treatment outperforms a good daily routine. Daily broad-spectrum SPF is the single most effective step for protecting radiance, and medical-grade skincare prescribed by Dr Nina supports hydration and cell turnover between treatments. Profhilo®, facials and Dermalux LED all work best on this foundation — skin quality is built and maintained, not bought once.

Skin quality is improved and maintained, not fixed in a single visit — and if a different concern such as significant laxity, volume loss or pigmentation is really driving your complexion, Dr Nina will say so honestly and recommend the more appropriate route.

At Facial Sculpting

What happens at your consultation

A consultation is not a commitment to treatment — it is a proper clinical assessment. Here is what to expect.

01

A full skin assessment

Dr Nina or the team assess your skin in detail — its hydration, bounce, texture, tone and radiance — and identify what is actually dulling your complexion, whether that is dehydration, slowing turnover, early collagen loss or lifestyle factors. They also review your current routine and sun protection, because the foundation matters as much as any treatment.

02

An honest, specific plan

If a skin-quality treatment or course is likely to help, it is recommended specifically, with a clear explanation of why and how results build over time. Where a different concern is really driving your complexion — significant laxity, volume loss or pigmentation — Dr Nina will say so and point you to the more appropriate route, including good daily skincare.

03

No obligation

Consultations are never upsells. The outcome may be a single glow facial, a short bio-remodelling course, a combination, or simply better home care and SPF to come back to. The goal is healthy, natural radiance for your skin — not a booking.

How the options compare

An honest comparison — the right option depends on your skin, the priority and your goals, and combinations are common. This is a guide, not a prescription.

Common questions

FAQs about skin quality & radiance

What is the best treatment for dull, tired-looking skin?
There is no single best treatment — it depends on why the skin looks dull. If the priority is hydration and bounce, injectable bio-remodelling such as Profhilo® or Jalupro Super Hydro improves skin quality from within. For an instant, refined radiance, a micro-infused glow facial such as the Aquagold Facial works on the surface. For redness, recovery and overall radiance, Dermalux LED is a gentle option. Often a combination over time gives the best result. Dr Nina assesses your skin properly at consultation and advises honestly, including where daily SPF and skincare would do more than any treatment.
Can I improve my skin quality without surgery?
Yes — improving skin quality and radiance is exactly what non-surgical and minimally invasive treatments do well. Injectable skin boosters such as Profhilo®, Jalupro Super Hydro and polynucleotides improve hydration, elasticity and texture from within; micro-infused facials such as the Aquagold Facial and Target Cool Exosomes refresh the surface; and Dermalux LED calms and rejuvenates with no downtime. None of these involve surgery. What they cannot do is lift significant laxity or fill deep lines — and Dr Nina will tell you honestly if a different concern is really driving your complexion.
How is Profhilo® different from Jalupro Super Hydro?
Both are minimally invasive injectable skin boosters with minimal downtime, used to improve skin quality from within rather than to add volume. Profhilo® uses one of the highest concentrations of stabilised hyaluronic acid, with no cross-linking, to hydrate and bio-remodel the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin. Jalupro Super Hydro combines hyaluronic acid with an amino-acid complex for deep hydration and luminosity. They are often considered as alternatives, and the right choice depends on your skin — Dr Nina will recommend the most suitable one, or a sequence, at consultation.
What is the difference between an Aquagold Facial and a skin booster like Profhilo®?
They work at different depths and on different timelines. The Aquagold Facial uses a fine 24-carat gold microneedle device to micro-infuse a bespoke cocktail just beneath the surface, giving a relatively quick, refined glow that typically lasts around one to two months. Profhilo® is injected deeper into the dermis and bio-remodels the skin over a course, building hydration and firmness more gradually and lasting longer. Many patients use them together — Profhilo® for skin quality from within, the facial for surface radiance. Dr Nina will advise what suits your skin and goals.
Do exosomes really work for skin radiance?
Target Cool Exosomes deliver growth factors, peptides and other signalling molecules into the skin to support repair and rejuvenation, and many patients find their skin looks fresher, softer and more radiant within a few days, with continued improvement over about four to six weeks. They also calm redness, which makes them a popular add-on after microneedling or laser. Exosome skincare is a newer, evolving area, so Dr Nina gives honest, measured advice about what to expect. They support skin quality and glow but do not lift, tighten or add volume, and results are best maintained within a wider skin-health plan.
How long does it take to see a glow, and how long does it last?
It depends on the treatment. A micro-infused facial such as the Aquagold Facial typically gives a refined glow within three to seven days that lasts around one to two months. Target Cool Exosomes show results within a few days, building over four to six weeks. Injectable bio-remodelling such as Profhilo® and Jalupro Super Hydro works more gradually, with skin quality building over a course of sessions and maintained with periodic top-ups. Dermalux LED gives an immediate freshness, with fuller benefits over a course. No result is permanent — radiance is maintained with sensible maintenance and good daily care.
Does Dermalux LED help with dull skin?
Yes. Dermalux LED is non-invasive, pain-free phototherapy that uses clinically researched red, blue and near-infrared wavelengths to energise skin cells and help the skin repair, calm and rejuvenate. The red and near-infrared light support radiance and help with dullness, redness and fine lines, while blue light helps blemish-prone skin. Results are cumulative, so a course of sessions gives the most noticeable improvement, with maintenance afterwards. It is also one of the best add-ons to support and soothe the skin after a glow facial, and it has no downtime.
Can these treatments be combined for better skin quality?
Yes, and combinations are common because the treatments work in different ways. A typical plan might pair Profhilo® or Jalupro Super Hydro for hydration and firmness from within with an Aquagold Facial for surface radiance, and add Dermalux LED to calm and support recovery. Polynucleotides may be added where repair and elasticity are the focus, and Target Cool Exosomes pair well with micro-channelling treatments. At Facial Sculpting, combinations are only recommended where they genuinely add value — Dr Nina assesses your skin and advises honestly on what to combine and in what order.
How can I prevent my skin from looking dull?
Daily broad-spectrum SPF is the single most effective step, because sun exposure is a major cause of dullness, uneven tone and collagen loss. Medical-grade skincare prescribed by Dr Nina supports hydration and cell turnover between treatments, and staying well hydrated, sleeping well and managing stress all show on the skin. In-clinic treatments such as Profhilo®, glow facials and Dermalux LED build on this foundation rather than replacing it. Skin quality is built and maintained over time, not bought once — which is why a sensible routine matters as much as any individual treatment.
Are polynucleotides good for improving skin quality?
Yes. Polynucleotides are a regenerative skin-booster injectable made from purified natural sources that works with your skin’s own repair processes, supporting the fibroblasts that produce collagen and elastin. They improve skin quality, hydration, elasticity and texture, and are gentle and well tolerated — which makes them useful for tired, fragile or crêpey skin, including the delicate under-eye area. Results build gradually over a short course rather than instantly, and a maintenance plan is usually advised. They sit naturally alongside Profhilo® and Jalupro Super Hydro as part of a wider skin-quality plan.
How much do skin quality treatments cost in London?
Cost depends entirely on which treatment and how many sessions suit your skin, so it is best thought of as value over a course rather than a single price. Skin boosters such as Profhilo®, Jalupro Super Hydro and polynucleotides are usually delivered as a short course with periodic maintenance; glow facials such as the Aquagold Facial and Target Cool Exosomes are often repeated for upkeep; and Dermalux LED is an affordable add-on or course. Because skin quality is built and maintained over time, Dr Nina will be honest about what genuinely adds value and confirm your individual plan and price at consultation.

Why choose us

Why patients choose us for skin quality

Radiance is one of the most over-promised areas in aesthetics — patients are often sold one-off “miracle” glow treatments. Dr Nina’s approach is different: build skin quality honestly over time, on a foundation of SPF and good skincare, and use treatments where they genuinely add value rather than chasing a filtered look.

Skin quality is built, not bought

Healthy radiance comes from hydration, repair and good daily care working together over a course — not a single visit. We plan for genuine, lasting skin quality, not a one-off result.

The right treatment for the cause

Dullness has several drivers — dehydration, texture, collagen loss. Dr Nina matches the treatment to what is actually dulling your skin, and is honest when good skincare and SPF would do more.

Natural, lit-from-within radiance

A less-is-more philosophy focused on healthy, natural glow that still looks like you — never an over-treated, artificial or “done” finish.
