It works with your own anatomy and is not a substitute for a surgical facelift; results vary from person to person.

The protocol
What is the W-Lift?
The W-Lift is a doctor-led signature protocol at Facial Sculpting designed to subtly lift and redefine the lower face. Rather than relying on one product, Dr Nina builds a personalised plan around your individual features — most often combining dermal fillers to restore mid-face support, jawline slimming or anti-wrinkle injections to refine muscle pull, and skin-firming energy treatments where appropriate.
The name describes the aesthetic aim: by re-supporting the mid-face and sharpening the jawline and chin, the lower face is gently lifted and balanced so it looks rested and defined rather than heavy or jowly. Because every plan is bespoke, the exact treatments, the number of visits and the recovery all depend on what your face actually needs — which is why the W-Lift always begins with a careful assessment, not a fixed package.
The W-Lift is one of several Dr Nina signature protocols. If you are weighing up width versus lift, see the V-Lift for facial slimming; and read the honest limitations below for where a surgical opinion may be the better route.
What it can help
What the W-Lift can address
The W-Lift is designed for lower-face laxity, a softening jawline and loss of definition — corrected with a bespoke combination plan.
Honest suitability
Is the W-Lift right for you?
The W-Lift is not for everyone — and we will tell you honestly if it is not the best option for you. Final suitability and your exact plan are always confirmed at consultation.
Often well suited
- Early-to-moderate laxity and softening of the lower face
- A jawline and chin that have lost crispness and definition
- Mid-face flattening that is dragging the lower face down
- Wanting a natural, balanced lift without surgery
- Happy with a bespoke plan that may use more than one treatment
- Realistic expectations of a subtle, gradual improvement
May not be suitable
- Significant excess skin or advanced sagging needing surgery
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding (subject to clinic policy)
- Active infection or skin condition in the treatment area
- A history of serious reactions to injectable treatments
- Certain medical conditions identified at consultation
- Expecting a dramatic, surgery-level facelift result
The approach
How a W-Lift plan works, step by step
- Consultation & assessmentDr Nina assesses your lower face, jawline, skin and facial movement, discusses your goals and confirms whether a W-Lift plan is suitable or whether another option is safer or more effective.
- Your bespoke planDr Nina designs a personalised combination — which may include fillers, anti-wrinkle injections, jawline slimming or energy devices — and explains the sequence, downtime and a written price.
- Treatment beginsYour chosen treatments are carried out comfortably in clinic, with topical numbing where injectables are used. Some elements may be staged across more than one visit.
- Settling & buildingSome changes are visible quickly; others, such as collagen-led firming, develop over the following weeks as the tissues respond.
- Review & refinementYour result is reviewed and fine-tuned where needed, and a sensible maintenance plan is discussed so the lift is kept looking natural over time.
“A less-is-more philosophy: a W-Lift only when it’s genuinely right for you — re-supporting the lower face so it looks like you, refined.”
The Facial Sculpting approach · Dr Nina BalBefore treatment
What happens at your consultation
A consultation is required before any W-Lift plan, because the treatment is entirely bespoke. During your initial consultation with Dr Nina and her team you will have a clinical assessment of your lower face, jawline and skin, and your suitability for treatment reviewed. You will be talked through the proposed plan in detail — what each component does, what to expect during and after — and given the opportunity to ask questions.
The consultation covers your medical history, a facial-anatomy and movement assessment, your suitability and any contraindications, realistic expected outcomes, alternatives if a W-Lift is not ideal, aftercare, and confirmation of your individual plan and price in writing before anything is booked.
Results & recovery
What to expect afterwards
Because the W-Lift is a bespoke combination, downtime depends entirely on the components in your plan. Injectable elements may cause temporary swelling, tenderness or small bruises that usually settle within a few days, while energy-based treatments have their own recovery profile. Dr Nina explains the expected downtime for your specific plan before you proceed, and you receive tailored aftercare guidance.
Results & longevity: some lift and definition can be seen soon after treatment, while firming and collagen-led changes build over the following weeks. Results are not permanent — injectables are gradually metabolised and the face continues to age — so maintenance is usually advised. Outcomes vary with anatomy, lifestyle and skin quality.
Typical results timeline
Any swelling, tenderness or minor bruising from injectable elements begins to settle.
The lower face starts to look more supported and defined as early swelling fully resolves.
Collagen-led firming from any energy components matures; the lift looks its most natural.
Results last months to longer depending on the treatments used; maintenance is discussed.
Safety
Possible risks & side effects
As with any medical aesthetic treatment, a W-Lift carries some risks, which depend on the specific components used. Injectable elements may cause temporary swelling, bruising, tenderness or, rarely, lumps or asymmetry that can be addressed; energy-based elements carry their own small risks. Less common risks are discussed individually at consultation, and Dr Nina will only proceed when she believes the plan is appropriate for you.
Careful assessment, an accurate plan and an experienced doctor are central to a safe, natural result and to avoiding an over-treated look. If anything is unexpected after treatment, you can contact the clinic for advice.
Honest limitations
What a W-Lift can and cannot do
- It cannot remove significant excess skin or replace a surgical facelift.
- It cannot correct advanced sagging or marked jowling on its own.
- It does not deliver a single, permanent result — maintenance is usually needed.
- It is not a weight-loss treatment and will not change your bone structure.
Compare your options
The W-Lift vs other approaches
A simple, honest comparison of the W-Lift against related routes — to help you and Dr Nina choose well.
| Approach | Best for | Invasiveness | Downtime |
|---|---|---|---|
| The W-Lift | Bespoke lower-face & jawline lift and definition | Combination — injectables and/or energy | Depends on plan |
| The V-Lift | Slimming a wide or round face into a V-shape | Combination — injectables and/or energy | Depends on plan |
| Face Shape Sculpting | Adding structure to cheekbones & jawline | Injectable contouring | Minimal |
| Endolift® | Early–moderate laxity, deeper tightening | Minimally invasive laser, local anaesthetic | Minimal (~1 day) |
| Profhilo® | Skin quality, hydration & firmness | Non-surgical injectable | Minimal |
| Surgical facelift | Significant excess skin / advanced sagging | Surgical, general anaesthetic | Several weeks |
A W-Lift often draws on cheek fillers for mid-face support and may be sequenced with Endolift® or Profhilo® for firmer, better-quality skin. The right combination is decided honestly at consultation.
Transparent pricing
How much does the W-Lift cost?

What our patients say about Facial Sculpting Clinic
Real reviews from patients who chose Dr Nina Bal and the Facial Sculpting team.
Amazing results! So so happy with my facial profile balancing!
Dr Nina is an artist! Do not hesitate to book an appointment, you will have an amazing experience. I have been going to Nina for the past 4 years. I have had Botox, fillers, under eye bags removed, most recently had a V Soft Line Thread Lower Face Lift (non surgical procedure). I have never felt any pain with any of my treatments or procedures. Nina is so gentle you don’t feel a thing, always caring, always advises the best solution for your face type and your problem area. Every visit I feel so welcomed, like a real VIP
I have never had laser treatment before but having just turned 47, I have started to notice ageing on my face and neck. I was feeling self conscious about the sagginess in my neck and the lines around my lips and chin, I didn’t want harsh surgery, so I decided to try Endolift, a non evasive treatment, with Dr Nina Bal. I cannot recommend Dr Nina, Endolift and her clinic enough. From the moment I entered the clinic I was made to feel relaxed and welcome. Dr Nina and her team were amazing throughout, the treatment was relatively quick and pain free. It has only been a week but I can already see fantastic results, and love what the treatment has done for me. Thanks Dr Nina, I will definitely be back.
Dr. Nina and the team are experts and kind and friendly. Highly recommend.
I’ve seen Dr. Nina twice now for lip augmentation, and honestly I couldn’t recommend her enough! The care she took in ensuring she knew what I wanted, as well as keeping me safe was more than any other practitioner I have been with. I have superficial blood vessels, so I am more prone to having complications, and she explained this to me and took all the necessary measures to ensure I got fabulous results while still being safe. I know that I can always contact her if anything worries me and for me that is paramount. Coming from a medical background it’s difficult to find someone I can trust, and after meeting lots of facial aesthetics doctors/dentists I know that I’ll be sticking with her! Also, she gives very helpful information on her instagram and TikTok!
Your questions
The W-Lift: your questions answered
What is the W-Lift?
The W-Lift is one of Dr Nina Bal’s signature protocols at Facial Sculpting — a bespoke, doctor-led combination treatment designed to subtly lift and redefine the lower face and jawline. Rather than a single product, it is a personalised plan that may combine dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle injections, jawline slimming and energy devices, tailored to your individual features.
Is the W-Lift a surgical facelift?
No. The W-Lift is entirely non-surgical — there are no incisions and no general anaesthetic. It re-supports and redefines the lower face using injectables and/or energy-based treatments. Where there is significant excess skin or advanced sagging, a surgical facelift may be more appropriate, and Dr Nina will tell you honestly if that is the case.
What treatments does the W-Lift combine?
It is tailored to you, but a W-Lift plan often draws on cheek and mid-face fillers for support, jawline slimming or anti-wrinkle injections to refine muscle pull, and skin-firming energy treatments such as Endolift® where appropriate. The exact combination is decided after Dr Nina has assessed your face at consultation.
Why is the price on application (POA)?
Because the W-Lift is fully bespoke, there is no single fixed price — the cost depends on which treatments make up your individual plan and how much of each is needed. Dr Nina confirms your personalised plan and its full price in writing after your consultation (from £200), so you know exactly what you are paying for before anything is booked, with no obligation to proceed.
How much does the W-Lift cost in London?
The W-Lift is quoted on application rather than as a set fee, because every plan is different. Your exact cost is built up from the specific treatments in your plan and confirmed in writing after a consultation, which starts from £200. This honest, itemised approach means you are never charged for treatments you do not need.
How long does the W-Lift last?
It depends on the components used. Filler-based elements typically last several months to longer, while collagen-led firming from energy treatments develops and is maintained over time. Results are not permanent because injectables are gradually metabolised and the face continues to age, so Dr Nina will recommend a sensible maintenance schedule.
Is there much downtime after the W-Lift?
Downtime depends on your specific plan. Injectable elements may cause temporary swelling, tenderness or small bruises for a few days, while energy-based treatments have their own short recovery. Dr Nina explains the expected downtime for your plan at consultation so you can schedule it around your commitments.
Is the W-Lift painful?
Most patients find it very tolerable. Topical numbing is used where injectables are involved, and modern injectable products often contain anaesthetic to improve comfort. Any tenderness afterwards is usually mild and short-lived. Your practitioner will explain exactly what to expect for each part of your plan.
How soon will I see results?
Some lift and definition — particularly from fillers — can be visible almost immediately, once any initial swelling settles. Firming and collagen-led changes from energy treatments build more gradually over the following weeks. Individual results vary depending on your anatomy and the treatments used.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies with your plan. Some W-Lifts are completed in a single visit, while others are staged across two or more appointments so the result can be built and refined gradually. Dr Nina will set out the expected number of visits as part of your written plan.
Will the W-Lift look natural?
That is the aim. Dr Nina works to a deliberate less-is-more philosophy, planning the lower face as a whole so it looks rested, supported and balanced rather than over-filled or tightened. The goal is a result that looks like you on a good day, not an obviously treated face.
How is the W-Lift different from the V-Lift?
The W-Lift is about lifting and redefining a lower face that has lost support and definition, while the V-Lift is about slimming a face that looks wide or round into a more defined V-shape. They share some tools but solve different concerns — Dr Nina will advise which suits your face, and the two are sometimes combined.
How is the W-Lift different from Face Shape Sculpting?
Face Shape Sculpting focuses on adding structure — more sculpted cheekbones and a sharper jawline — using injectable contouring. The W-Lift is a broader lower-face lifting protocol that may include that structural work but can also use anti-wrinkle injections and energy devices to address laxity. The two overlap and are often planned together.
Can the W-Lift be combined with skin treatments?
Yes. A W-Lift is often planned alongside skin-quality treatments such as Profhilo® or with energy-based tightening like Endolift®, so the skin looks as firm and healthy as the underlying lift. Dr Nina will advise on what is safe and sensible to combine, and the right order.
Is the W-Lift safe?
The W-Lift uses established, regulated treatments delivered by a doctor-led team. As with any medical aesthetic treatment, careful assessment, accurate planning and practitioner experience are central to safety. Possible side effects depend on the components used and are discussed in full at consultation, where Dr Nina will only proceed if she believes the plan is appropriate for you.
Is a consultation required before the W-Lift?
Yes — it is essential, because the W-Lift is entirely bespoke. The consultation lets Dr Nina assess your lower face, jawline and skin, confirm whether the treatment is suitable, design your personalised plan and agree the price in writing before anything is booked.
