The treatment

What is Jalupro HMW?

Jalupro HMW is a high-molecular-weight skin booster and bio-revitaliser. It combines high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid — which holds water and deeply hydrates the skin — with a targeted complex of amino acids, the building blocks your skin uses to make collagen and elastin. Together these work with your skin’s natural processes to improve its structure, hydration and resilience from within.

Delivered through a series of precise injections, Jalupro HMW supports your fibroblasts (the cells responsible for collagen and elastin) and helps to improve skin tone, smoothness, density and firmness. The result, over a short course, is skin that looks fresher, feels firmer and shows softer fine lines — a subtle, natural rejuvenation rather than a sudden change. Because it does not add structural volume, it is about skin quality, not sculpting.

Jalupro HMW sits within our family of injectable skin boosters alongside Jalupro Super Hydro, Profhilo® and polynucleotides. It can be combined thoughtfully with other treatments as part of a wider plan — and the honest limitations below explain where another route may suit you better.

Concerns it can help

What does Jalupro HMW address?

Jalupro HMW is designed to improve skin density and quality — not to add structural volume or sculpt the face.

Honest suitability

Is Jalupro HMW right for you?

Jalupro HMW is not for everyone — and we will tell you if it is not the best option for you. Final suitability is always confirmed at consultation.

Often well suited

  • Loss of skin density, firmness or elasticity
  • Dehydrated, dull skin that needs revitalising
  • Fine lines and a tired-looking complexion
  • Wanting to improve skin quality rather than add volume
  • Happy to follow a short course of two to three sessions
  • Realistic expectations of a subtle, gradual result

May not be suitable

  • Wanting structural volume or contouring (a filler may suit better)
  • Known allergy to hyaluronic acid, amino acids or the product
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding (subject to clinic policy)
  • Active infection, inflammation or skin condition in the area
  • Certain medical or autoimmune conditions identified at consultation
  • Expecting a single-session, dramatic transformation

The process

How Jalupro HMW works, step by step

  1. Consultation & assessmentDr Nina or the team assess your skin, medical history and goals, and confirm whether Jalupro HMW is suitable or whether another skin booster fits better.
  2. PreparationThe treatment area is cleansed and mapped; a numbing cream may be applied for your comfort.
  3. Bio-revitalisation injectionsThe HA and amino-acid solution is injected into the skin at carefully chosen points to hydrate and support collagen.
  4. Your courseJalupro HMW is delivered as a short course — usually two to three sessions a few weeks apart — so skin quality can build over time.
  5. Aftercare & reviewYou receive tailored aftercare advice, and your progress can be reviewed as results develop, with maintenance discussed where appropriate.

“A less-is-more philosophy: skin boosters only when they’re genuinely right for you — for healthier, firmer skin that still looks like you.”

The Facial Sculpting approach · Dr Nina Bal

Before treatment

What happens at your consultation

A consultation is recommended before Jalupro HMW. During your initial consultation with Dr Nina and her team you will have a clinical skin assessment and your suitability reviewed. You will be talked through the procedure in detail — what to expect during and after — and given the opportunity to ask questions.

The consultation covers your medical history, a skin assessment, your suitability and any contraindications, realistic expected outcomes, alternatives if Jalupro HMW is not ideal, aftercare, and confirmation of your individual plan and price.

Results & recovery

What to expect afterwards

Jalupro HMW involves minimal downtime and most people return to normal activities quickly. Temporary redness, mild swelling, small bruises or tiny injection-point bumps may occur and usually settle within a few days. You receive aftercare guidance tailored to your treatment.

Results & longevity: improvements in hydration and a fresher look are often noticed early, with density, firmness and softer fine lines continuing to develop over the following weeks as collagen responds. Results are not permanent; maintenance is usually advised to sustain the effect. Outcomes vary with skin quality, age and lifestyle.

Typical results timeline

First days

Any redness, swelling, small bruises or injection-point bumps begin to settle.

~2 weeks

Many patients notice improved hydration and a healthier-looking texture.

Over the course

Density, firmness and skin quality build session by session.

Following weeks

Fine lines and elasticity continue to improve; maintenance is then discussed.

Safety

Possible risks & side effects

As with any injectable treatment, Jalupro HMW carries some risks. Possible side effects may include temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, small bruises or tiny lumps at the injection points, and these usually resolve within days. Less common effects are discussed individually at consultation.

Careful patient selection, an accurate plan and an experienced practitioner are important for a safe, natural result. If anything is unexpected after treatment, you can contact the clinic for advice.

Honest limitations

What Jalupro HMW cannot do

  • It is not a dermal filler — it does not add structural volume or sculpt the face.
  • It cannot lift significant skin laxity or replace surgery.
  • It does not deliver instant change — results build over a course.
  • It is not a substitute for sun protection and good skincare.

I had EndoLift with Dr Nina at her clinic. I just wanted to share my experience With anyone who is looking to get endo lift or any other procedure done with Dr Nina. She is absolutely amazing so gentle and so kind she is so experienced in her field and knows whats best for you without trying to oversell you rather only whats needed. I was looking for this treatment for my double chin and picked the best place for it! it was a very comfortable treatment took about 30 mins. It permanently dissolves the fat there and tightens the area. She always checked on me to make sure im feeling ok. Its a week now and i can slowly see a difference im a little swollen and sore but the swelling is not noticeable to anyone. Cant wait for full results. Thank you Dr Nina.

I recently had a virtual consultation with Dr Nina for my melasma condition. I have been trying many different treatment options over the past year since it has developed and nothing really seemed to work. Dr Nina prescribed a variety of medical grade treatments and only after TEN (this is not at all an exaggeration) days the melasma on my cheeks has significantly reduced to the point that my friend said she couldn’t even see it. Not only has this experience improved my skin’s condition, but it has helped my mental health and confidence dramatically. Dr Nina is extremely personable, charming and I felt that she really understood my concerns. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and I would 100% go back for other treatments, as she has gained my full trust.

Dr. Nina got my Botox perfectly right on the first visit. I have seen many injecting doctors over the years, I have tricky uneven brows - one is higher than the other and I normally like to balance and lift them slightly. It’s a difficult job for many doctors. The results of treatment with Dr. Nina are just what I was looking for, if not better than expected and I didn’t even need the top up/ correction appointment! I got so many compliments on how well and fresh I look!! So happy with the results, Dr. Nina certainly knows how to do a good Botox

I visited Dr Nina Bal recently for lip fillers, the surgery located in Belgravia was so beautiful and very high end! The surgery itself was very covid aware with plenty of sanitiser stations and every employee was wearing a mask and gloves. Dr Nina made me feel very comfortable and the procedure was quick and easy. She had a lovely energy and really cared for me as a patient, which made the experience so much more positive. Thanks again for my lovely lip fillers, they’re so natural and much more voluminous than before. Super happy, couldn’t recommend Dr Nina Bal more

Your questions

Jalupro HMW FAQs

What is Jalupro HMW?

Jalupro HMW is an injectable bio-revitalisation skin booster that combines high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid with a complex of amino acids. It is designed to improve skin density, hydration, firmness and elasticity while supporting collagen and softening fine lines, delivered as a short course.

What does “HMW” mean?

“HMW” stands for high molecular weight, referring to the type of hyaluronic acid used. High-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid holds water well and sits in the skin to provide lasting hydration and support, which is why this version is chosen for improving skin density and firmness.

Is Jalupro HMW a dermal filler?

No. Jalupro HMW is a skin booster, not a dermal filler. It is designed to improve the quality, hydration and firmness of the skin rather than to add structural volume or contour the face. If your goal is sculpting or volume, a filler may be more appropriate, and Dr Nina will discuss this with you.

What skin concerns can Jalupro HMW treat?

It is used for loss of skin density, firmness and elasticity, dehydration, fine lines and a dull, tired-looking complexion. It can be used on the face, neck, décolletage and hands. Your treatment plan is tailored to your skin and goals at consultation.

How is Jalupro HMW different from Jalupro Super Hydro?

Both are Jalupro skin boosters combining hyaluronic acid and amino acids, but with different emphasis. Jalupro HMW uses high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid and leans towards skin density, firmness and elasticity, while Jalupro Super Hydro focuses on deep hydration and luminosity. Dr Nina will advise which suits your skin.

How is Jalupro HMW different from Profhilo®?

Both are minimally invasive injectable skin boosters with minimal downtime. Jalupro HMW combines hyaluronic acid with amino acids to support density and firmness, while Profhilo® is a hyaluronic-acid bio-remodelling treatment focused on hydration and firmness. They are sometimes used as alternatives or in sequence; Dr Nina will recommend the best option for your skin.

How many Jalupro HMW sessions will I need?

A course of two to three sessions, spaced a few weeks apart, is usually recommended for the best result, with maintenance over time. The exact number depends on your skin and goals and is confirmed at consultation.

When will I see results from Jalupro HMW?

Improvements in hydration and a fresher look are often noticed early, with density, firmness and softer fine lines continuing to develop over the following weeks as collagen responds. Results build gradually rather than instantly, and individual results vary.

How long do the results last?

Results are not permanent. By improving skin quality, the benefits can be maintained over time with a sensible maintenance plan — typically a top-up every few months. Longevity varies with your skin, age and lifestyle; Dr Nina will advise on maintenance.

Is there any downtime?

Downtime is minimal and most people return to normal activities quickly. Temporary redness, mild swelling, small bruises or tiny injection-point bumps may occur and usually settle within a few days. You receive aftercare advice tailored to your treatment.

Is Jalupro HMW painful?

Most people find the injections very tolerable. The needle is fine, and a numbing cream may be applied for your comfort. Any tenderness afterwards is usually mild and short-lived; your practitioner will explain exactly what to expect.

Is Jalupro HMW safe?

Jalupro HMW is a well-tolerated, minimally invasive injectable when performed by a trained practitioner after proper assessment. As with any injectable, possible side effects (such as redness, swelling, small bruises or lumps) are discussed in full at consultation, and Dr Nina will only proceed where she believes it is appropriate for you.

Who is not suitable for Jalupro HMW?

It may not be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with a known allergy to its ingredients, active infection or skin conditions in the area, or certain medical or autoimmune conditions. It is also not the right choice if you want structural volume or contouring. Suitability is always confirmed at consultation.

Can Jalupro HMW be combined with other treatments?

Yes. It is often planned alongside other treatments — for example other skin boosters, Profhilo®, or facials such as Aquagold — as part of a wider skin-quality plan. Dr Nina will advise on what is appropriate to combine and in what order.

How much does Jalupro HMW cost in London?

Jalupro HMW at Facial Sculpting starts from £640 per area, and is usually delivered as a course of two to three sessions. Your exact plan and price are confirmed at consultation.

Is a consultation required before Jalupro HMW?

A consultation is recommended to assess your skin, medical history and goals, confirm whether Jalupro HMW is suitable (or whether another skin booster is better), and agree your individual plan and price.
