TheIndustry.beauty Awards Winners' Interview: Dr Nina Bal on Trust, Innovation and the Future of Aesthetics

Dr Nina Bal on the red carpet at TheIndustry.beauty Innovators Awards 2026, beside the title of her Awards Winners' Interview

TheIndustry.beauty has published its Awards Winners' Interview with Dr Nina Bal, written by Sophie Smith on 24 September 2026, following her win of Best Aesthetics Practitioner/Practice at TheIndustry.beauty Innovators Awards 2026.

The interview introduces Dr Nina as "not your average aesthetic practitioner", with a reputation for a refined, results-driven approach to ageing and a philosophy firmly rooted in "less is more". It notes her 18 years of clinical experience and the personalised three-layer approach behind her clinic, designed to enhance each patient's natural features rather than change them.

Enhancing, not changing

Asked what sets her approach apart, Dr Nina puts individuality first:

"I believe in enhancing rather than changing and creating results that are tailored to the individual, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach."

She adds that she wants her clients "to still look like themselves, just refreshed and confident", and that the relationship continues well beyond the treatment, from the first consultation and treatment planning through to aftercare.

Safety, and the confidence to say no

"Patient safety is always the priority. I believe having the knowledge to perform a treatment safely is only part of being a good practitioner. You also need to understand when a treatment is not appropriate and have the confidence to say no."

Innovation as progression

On new technology, Dr Nina explains that she is selective about what she brings into the clinic, looking at the evidence, the safety profile, the results and how it fits her approach to patient care:

"For me, innovation is about progression. It should make treatments more effective, more personalised and ultimately give clients a better experience and better outcomes."

That thinking is behind the energy-based devices at the clinic, from XERF radiofrequency, which Dr Nina was one of the first doctors in the UK to offer, to BBL HEROic and Endolift. The full range is set out in the Advanced Laser and Radio Frequency treatments.

What comes next for aesthetics

"I think the industry is already moving towards a much more holistic approach to aesthetics, with a greater focus on skin health, prevention and healthy ageing rather than simply changing a particular feature."

Dr Nina sees growing interest in treatments that improve skin quality, hydration and overall condition, alongside more subtle approaches to injectables, which reflects the skin health treatments at the heart of the clinic.
