Ultherapy is a non-surgical ultrasound treatment that stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin deep within the skin.
Non-invasive and requiring just a topical anaesthetic cream, it is used to tighten and smooth skin on the upper and lower face, the neck and the décolletage.
This is a lunchtime lift, involving no needles, injections, anaesthetic, scalpels or surgery. Minimal downtime is needed post-procedure.
Precise application of ultrasound energy is used to target the deep layers of the skin without disrupting its surface. After treatment, the body’s tissue repair process stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin, creating a lifting and tightening effect.
The procedure involves applying ultrasound gel and placing the applicator onto the skin. We will then deliver the focused ultrasound energy beneath the skin’s surface. The ultrasound waves cross over at very precise depths. This crossing creates heat and it is this heat energy that initiates the body’s natural response to stimulate the growth of new collagen and elastin.
A face-and-neck Ultherapy procedure takes 45-60 minutes, while a chest treatment takes approximately 30 minutes.
You may see some initial lift after three weeks, but ultimate results will be evident over a 2–3 month period, as the growth of new collagen and elastin replaces old tissue targeted by the treatment.
Effects from a single Ultherapy treatment can last for over a year and we will advise on the likely outcomes for you at consultation.
