After the outbreak of the corona virus (Covid-19), I feel from a medical professional perspective , following the Public Health Website guidelines , the need to say something.
Sometimes the press can create a great fear , but it’s important to keep it simple and state the facts .
If you are a patient and travelling from China , Singapore , Asia , Northern Italy and other risks area please let us know.
The best protection is washing you hands thoroughly for over 20 seconds (which is a long time ). Wearing a mask makes sense IF you change it at least everyday with a new one , but it serves mainly who has the virus not to spread it .
Avoid crowded places and avoid direct contact (shaking hands , hugs and kisses ) for a while .
Be cautious and prudent but don’t panic .

Teeth wise , it’s definitely the right time to start your Invisalign or teeth straightening journey , as (depending on the teeth issues severity) you might have time to have perfect straight teeth for the summer !
It’s also the right time to whiten your teeth , we will slowly get more tanned and the teeth will stand out more !
Regarding your skin, it is now the time to reduce the aggressive chemical peels and work on hydration with Profhilo or The Elixir and some other anti wrinkle treatments .

FACE SHAPE AND HAIR STYLE
I get so many clients who don’t wear the hair up or haven’t done so for years because they are not happy with their side profile , under chin area or they feel their face shape is too square or round from the front .
The impact of being not entirely happy with our face for whatever reason it might be , can be huge : from not being confident enough to take photos , to not been able to wear your hair up or in a different style , to much deeper ones . But if we reverse it , once we tackle and enhance the area that you were not entirely happy with, it can give you confidence beyond what you expected.

FILTER vs REALITY
Who doesn’t like the way we look trough a filter? Skin is totally flawless and make up is impeccable!
I am guilty of that too, BUT it’s ok as long as you are aware that this is NOT the reality .
I thrive to give you the most amazing skin possible, but be realistic that even the most incredible flawless natural skin doesn’t look like a social media filter .
Some people take it that little step too far, distorting their reality which creates unrealistic aspirations for their followers, with a very negative effect on normal people’ s confidence and self esteem , ESPECIALLY if suffering already from body dysmorphia .
Celebrities, bloggers and influencers have an impact on impressionable minds which can lead to mental health issues as people are forever chasing this perfect lifestyle or selfie that does NOT exist.
We are all humans , with all our imperfections and issues : if someone on IG looks perfect , trust me , it’s all down to the right angle , light or filter !
My message is to help YOU to improve your confidence with subtle tweaks , but I always check first for any body dysmorphia issues and if I do I take them very seriously, never treating the patient .

Even the smallest tweaks to a photograph can create unrealistic aspirations .
Chrissy Teigen , the beautiful American model, TV personality and Author , is a great example of what they did to her photo recently.
Publications still feel the need to edit her photograph from the Oscars even ever so slightly, although she is absolutely gorgeous as she is .
We are all humans , with all our imperfections and issues : if someone on IG looks perfect, it’s likely all down to the right angle , light or photo editing. So don’t be fooled , we are always struggling with the same imperfections and insecurities.
